DataEase 7.2 Operating Systems compliancy

Servers:
-Windows Server 2003.
-Windows Server 2008. – currently under testing.

Workstation Operating systems:
-Microsoft Windows XP;
-Microsoft Windows 7 32-bit;
-Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit with the following exception: the current printer driver (Amyuni) is not compatible within Windows 7 64-bit and prevents DataEase from printing to a file. We will look to resolve this issue at a later date, but in the meanwhile, we have provided the following workaround:

1. You need to have a PDF printer driver installed on your computer (e.g. PDFCreator found at www.pdffactory.com);

2. In the “Control Panel” of your computer, select “Devices and printers”;

3. Right-click your PDF printer (in this example, PDFFactory), and select “Printer Properties” from the pop-up menu;

4. In the [General] tab, rename your printer to “DataEase”.

Close and re-open your DataEase application (to register the CDF’s).

Copy and paste the following sample DQL code into a new procedure and amend where necessary (such as filenames). Compile and run:

Data.show () .
end

the field “Data” will not display the current date if you go to it and press the “TAB” button.

That is because all Values in OML is text so you just have to make sure that the value you insert is also text.

if Data = blank then
Data.value := jointext(current date,”") .
Data.show () .
end

All data types in DataEase is automatically converted in DQL and BRL, but in OML you have to insure that you use the right format.
